Solar is growing faster than the workforce trained to support it. Companies are installing more systems, deploying more technology, and managing more complexity, yet the training infrastructure hasn’t kept pace. Most companies either wing it, lean on vendor one-pagers, or bury the budget trying to staff a full-time training department.
That gap is exactly why S.E. Power Consulting exists.
What We Do
S.E. Power Consulting is a fractional solar training and consulting firm built for OEMs, EPCs, installers, and O&M operators who need expert-level training without the overhead of a full-time hire.
Think of it as having an in-house training manager, someone who knows your technology, understands the field, and can build scalable programs — available when you need it, without the cost of keeping a full-time seat warm.
Services include:
- Live technical training — conferences, roadshows, product launches, and webinars
- LMS course development — onboarding programs, module libraries, and eLearning content
- Field certifications and best-practice programs — for installers and technicians
- Remote troubleshooting and monitoring platform training — Enphase, SolarEdge, SMA, Sungrow, and more
- O&M site performance training — built for commercial systems where downtime costs money
Who’s Behind It

I’m Emmitt Muckles — solar trainer, NABCEP board member, and the person who built this company because I’ve lived both sides of the problem.
My background runs deep: electronic bench technician, inverter trainer at Fronius, hands-on field support across residential and commercial systems, and curriculum development for some of the industry’s most recognized brands. I’ve delivered training at NABCEP conferences, built LMS programs from scratch, and spent years in the field alongside the technicians I now train.
I believe technicians deserve to understand why a system works — not just how to bolt it together. That philosophy shapes everything we build here.
Who We Work With
S.E. Power Consulting works with:
- Solar manufacturers and OEMs that need product training delivered at scale
- Installation companies that need onboarding programs for growing field teams
- O&M firms that need SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and monitoring platform competency
- Industry organizations that need credible, technical education for their members and events
Current and past partners include 60Hertz, MREA, and Solectria.
Why Fractional Training Works
You don’t need a $120,000/year training director for a 90-day onboarding build. You don’t need to hire a curriculum designer to create one LMS course. And you definitely don’t need to pay full-time benefits for support that’s project-based.
What you need is someone who shows up ready, builds what works, trains your people well, and doesn’t require three months of ramp-up to understand the technology.
That’s the fractional model. And in solar, it fits.
